A 12-lb solid shot cannonball was a typical source of ammunition of the time.Would have been shot from a Napoleon Cannon. Found at sight of Natural Bridge.
As per S.C decription "Minutes Book, 1856-1905, containing minutes of meeting held at the Florida Institute, the Seminary West of the Suwanee River, and Florida State College. 1 item, boxed and shelved in the Special Collections Vault."
The Florida Times Newspaper wrote an article on the Battle of Natural Bridge in 1957. The article include a picture of the river, St. Marks river where the battle took place, and of a man holding a cannon ball.
